Week #33

Learning Log for Week of April 18th - 22nd

My favorite thing this week was science and learning about the biomes.

Homeroom:

This week I studied brain pop.  I also played my math prodigy game.  We watched some videos on Khan Academy about the history of Mesopotamia.

Math:

This week in Math I finished lesson # 9 in Math U See. It was learning how to skip count by 9. Once I know how to skip count by 9, it will make it easier to learn how to multiply by 9 next week.

English/Language Arts:

I worked on my Spelling-U-See and finished my lesson #4.  I am learning about constant chunks.  My story this week was actually a rhyme.  We are also still reading our book Bambi as a family.  We talked about he different characters in the book and their internal and external character traits.

Science:

This week in science we talked more about biomes.  We starting studying grasslands and forests.  It was fun to talk about them since we are reading about Bambi in a deciduous forest in Europe.

History/Geography:

This week in Geography we starting talking about religions.  We talked about the 5 main religions that are practiced around the world.  We were able to make a map and talk about each religion and what they believe and what their sacred writings are.

Tech:

This week I worked on my last assignment where I saw two people my projects.  I like showing my projects to my grandpa Scott and showing him how they work and how can switch the codes. One of my favorite projects this year was the goal kicker.

P.E:

We are practicing twice a week still.  It is getting a little warmer, so that makes it more fun to practice and for my family to watch.  We are having fun playing our games on Saturdays too.
