Learning Log for Week of April 11th - April 15th
My favorite thing this week was science.
Homeroom:
This week we watched video on Khan Academy. We have been studying Babylon and we watched videos on the Code of Hammurabi and got to see it in the Louvre as well as the Gates of Ishtar. I also worked on projects in sewing as well as worked on my girl scouts journeys.
Math:
This week in math I did Lesson # 9. It is learning how to skip count by 3. I also have been playing some math games online which I really like.
English/Language Arts:
We have been reading our Bambi book as a family. I have been working on my Spelling-U-See. I really like it, especially the no rule day where I can draw a picture and then write my favorite line.
Science:
This week in science we studied more about biomes. We talked more specifically about desert and tundra. I like the tundra because it is really cold and I liked learning how the animals and plants adapt to survive int he cold so that we can take things of how to adapt in the cold.
History/Geography:
This week in History we talked more about Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar. We learned about he battles and war fought between the Assyrians and the Babylonians. We learned about one of the ancient wonders of the world, the hanging gardens.
Tech:
I turned in my giant project. It was cool building the giant and then have the arm to make him stand. I had my little brother help me change some things and play with it.
P.E.
Soccer is going great! We have been practicing really hard and we have won our first two games. I love it!
